Accept a delivery request
Use the order details to review a delivery request before the Driver App sends an acceptance. The available controls depend on the request type, project configuration, permissions, and current order state.
Availability
The Accept action can appear on a pending order or assignment request that is still available to you. It may be unavailable when:
- the app's location-permission gate is unresolved;
- the request has changed, expired, been locked, or been taken by another driver;
- your driver account is busy or has reached a configured assignment limit;
- the order is no longer in an eligible state; or
- the app is offline and offline status changes are disabled.
Opening order details can start location reads before you choose an action. If the app sends you to Request permissions, resolve that requirement before returning to the request.
Before you start
Review the order, pickup and delivery details, and any grouped-request context. Selecting the final Accept button sends a change that can affect the order, your active workload, and other drivers' copies of the request.
An ordinary order and a logistics assignment do not use the same acceptance path:
- An ordinary order can ask for delivery priority and an estimated delivery time before submission.
- A logistics assignment uses the assignment-request action. If it represents a group, one action can cover the member orders.
- The separate grouped-order batch action is not available in the current Driver App navigation. Do not use it as a substitute for a visible logistics request.
Complete the task
- Open the available request and review its order details.
- Select Accept.
- If In which order will you deliver this order? appears, use the plus and minus controls to choose a delivery position, then select Continue.
- If Delivery time appears, enter the estimated hours and minutes.
- If Upload status image appears, take the required photo and review the preview. You can select Remove image to replace it before submission.
- Select the final Accept button once.
Some configurations hide delivery priority and delivery time. In that state, the first Accept selection is the submission boundary; there is no second confirmation screen.
A configured status-image requirement can block Accept until a photo is present. Capture only the requested proof for this delivery and review the preview before submission. Do not reuse or disclose unrelated media.
Verify the result
The button press only proves that the Driver App attempted to send the request. Wait for the app to stop loading and confirm that the request no longer remains in the same actionable state before continuing.
For a grouped logistics request, the app can return to the previous list immediately after you select Accept, before the assignment request and per-member estimated-time attempts have fully settled. Those operations are separate and can fail independently, so leaving the request list does not prove that the assignment or every member update completed.
An ordinary acceptance can also trigger a separate estimated-time message after the order update. Failure of that follow-up message does not necessarily undo the order change. If the outcome is unclear, refresh the order or ask a dispatcher to verify its current assignment before trying again.
States and variations
| What you see | Meaning | Safe next step |
|---|---|---|
| Request permissions opens | The app's local permission gate is unresolved | Review the permission request, then return to the order |
| Delivery-priority question | Priority selection is enabled | Choose a position, then select Continue |
| Delivery time | Estimated-time entry is enabled | Enter hours and minutes before Accept |
| No priority or time step | Estimated-time presentation is hidden | Treat the first Accept as the submission boundary |
| Upload status image | This status is configured to require a photo | Capture and review the photo before submitting |
| Accept is disabled | A required field, image, permission, connection, or loading state is unresolved | Resolve the visible requirement; do not repeatedly press the control |
| The request remains actionable or an error appears | Acceptance was not confirmed in the app | Refresh once and verify the assignment with a dispatcher |
| A logistics group leaves the list | Client navigation occurred; it does not confirm assignment settlement | Reopen the group and verify each member's current state |
Troubleshooting
- If the request disappeared before you submitted, return to the available requests list and refresh it. Another driver or a dispatcher may have changed it.
- If location permissions are blocked, use the app's permission guidance. Do not bypass the prompt by entering or sharing coordinates.
- If a required photo cannot be captured, keep the request unsubmitted and report the capture problem. Do not reuse an unrelated image.
- If the app loses connectivity during submission, do not assume the request failed. Refresh and verify ownership before retrying.
- If only part of a logistics group reflects the expected estimate, report the affected member orders rather than accepting the request again.
