Complete the first-run tutorial
Driver App contains a five-slide introduction to new-order alerts, delivery details, route guidance, adding information, and completing a delivery. Use this procedure only when the tutorial is already visible.
The reviewed source does not prove that a clean first launch reaches the tutorial: startup permission preparation and tutorial selection have a conflicting loading sequence. The visible tutorial is informational and does not prove that any alert, order, route, media, signature, note, status, or notification capability is available or completed.
Availability
The tutorial is a signed-out startup branch when tutorials are configured and the locally stored tutorial state has not disabled it. Startup, language, session, notification, and local permission readiness can take priority before that branch.
If the tutorial is not visible, do not try to open it through an unreviewed route or by editing local app state. Follow the guide for the screen that Driver App actually presents.
Before you start
- Confirm that the first tutorial slide is visible.
- Keep the app in the foreground.
- Treat the slide illustrations and descriptions as an introduction, not as a guarantee that the related feature is configured or authorized.
- Do not grant permissions, open providers, or use a real order to test a slide.
The first slide can show Skip, and each non-final slide can show Next. The reviewed page does not supply a skip-completion handler, so Skip is not a documented way to finish the tutorial.
Complete the task
- Read the current slide and use Next to advance.
- Review the five introductory topics in order:
- new-order alerts;
- delivery details and timing;
- route guidance;
- pictures, signatures, or notes; and
- delivery completion.
- On the final slide, select Let's start! once.
- Wait for Driver App to present its next visible startup state.
Selecting Let's start! asks the app to turn off the local tutorial branch and save that preference. The local state change and storage write are separate, and the write is not awaited before the branch changes. Do not treat the press as proof that the preference persisted or that startup, permissions, sign-in, or another feature succeeded.
Verify the result
Verification is limited to the next observable app state:
- the tutorial is no longer the visible surface; and
- Driver App presents another signed-out startup screen or a loading state.
If the tutorial stays visible, reappears, or returns after a later launch, the completion preference is not verified. Stop after one attempt and use the troubleshooting boundary below.
