Edit profile details and photo
Driver App can show an Edit control for Driver profile fields when account configuration allows Driver data updates. The profile image is a separate control that can open the device photo library and immediately request a photo save after a selection.
Profile edits can update personal information. Review the fields and values before saving. The profile-image control uses a separate photo-library flow and may request a photo update as soon as you select an image.
Availability
For a Driver account, Edit is visible only when the update-data configuration is explicitly enabled and validation fields have loaded. The displayed fields come from the current checkout/profile validation-field configuration rather than one fixed universal field list.
The profile image can open the photo library even when Driver field editing is not enabled. The absence of Edit does not mean photo updates are disabled.
Before you start
- Open Profile and wait for profile and validation-field loading to settle.
- Confirm whether Edit is visible.
- Profile details are personal information. Share or change only the fields needed for your account.
Profile navigation can refresh user information. A visible value is the current client result, not guaranteed current server truth.
Complete the task
To edit profile details:
- Verify that the profile is populated rather than loading or in error.
- Identify the configured read-only field labels, masked password display, and available phone presentation.
- Confirm whether Edit is present under the configured Driver update rule.
- Select Edit, update the needed fields, then review them before selecting Update. Select Cancel to discard local changes.
The form can show configured fields, password/confirmation, and an enabled phone input. It applies required-field, email, phone, and password-match validation. Cancel clears local changes; Update appears after changes or password input and can request a user update.
Selecting the profile image opens the photo library, requests a small photo, and can request the photo save as soon as the selected image returns. This is a separate flow from editing profile fields and does not use an Update confirmation. The app's profile-photo flow does not offer camera capture.
Verify the result
After selecting Update, wait for the profile to refresh and check the displayed fields. Profile-photo changes use a separate photo-library request and may be submitted as soon as you select an image. If the result is unclear, contact the account owner before retrying.
