# Delivery overview

The Dashboard provides separate delivery workspaces for monitoring delivery orders, monitoring drivers, and coordinating both together. Choose the view that matches the task before opening an order detail panel, where operational actions may be available.

> **Availability**
>
> Delivery pages depend on your role, read-only status, and project configuration. A page can be available to your account even when its sidebar item is not shown in the current navigation layout. Contact a project administrator if you expect a Delivery page but cannot find it.

## Choose a delivery workspace

- **Deliveries dashboard** is order-focused. Use it to monitor delivery cards, delivery status groups, filters, and the delivery map.
- **Drivers dashboard** is fleet-focused. Use it to review online/offline and busy/not-busy drivers, assigned-order counts, and driver map data.
- **All in one** combines a compact driver workspace, orders workspace, and map. It is available only when your project and account meet its additional configuration requirements.

Access to delivery dashboards and their sidebar entries can vary by account role, read-only status, and project configuration. Route availability and visible navigation are not always equivalent.

## Open Deliveries dashboard

1. In the Dashboard sidebar, select **Delivery** when that section is available.
2. Select **Deliveries dashboard**.
3. Choose a status group and use the shared Search and Filter controls to narrow the queue.

The delivery queue is order-centric: selecting a delivery card can focus the map on that delivery, while the separate detail action opens the order panel. Selecting an unassigned delivery can display eligible-driver controls. Treat delivery details as operational data, and use the appropriate authorized action before making a change.

## Work with sensitive location data

Delivery maps and cards can expose live driver location, business and customer addresses, contact details, products, timing, and order totals. Treat these as sensitive operational data.

> **Use only approved data**
>
> Do not share a live delivery map, customer address, driver position, or active order card in screenshots or recordings. Use a synthetic or approved redacted environment for training and documentation.

If the map is unavailable, your project may be missing a Google Maps API key or the selected delivery may not have the required location data.

## Know where operational actions happen

The delivery views are primarily monitoring workspaces. Driver assignment, order-status updates, delivery-position changes, customer edits, messages, refunds, and similar actions can appear in an order detail panel and are subject to separate permissions and validation.

Before opening a detail panel to act on a delivery, confirm the order number, business, customer, current status, and intended outcome. See [Assign and manage a delivery](https://docs.ordering.co/docs/products/dashboard/delivery/manage-delivery/) for the assignment and status-change boundaries.

## Troubleshooting

### Why is Delivery missing from my sidebar?

Delivery navigation varies with account role, configuration, and read-only status. The route and the sidebar are not always exposed under the same conditions. Ask a project administrator to confirm your access and the project configuration.

### Which view should I use to find a driver?

Use **Drivers dashboard** to monitor the fleet. Use **Deliveries dashboard** when the starting point is a delivery order. Use **All in one** only when you need the combined workspace and it is available to your account.

### Does selecting a delivery on the map change the order?

Selecting a delivery on the map changes what is selected in the workspace rather than an order property. For an unassigned delivery, it can also display eligible-driver controls. Treat the detail as operational data and do not assume that a visible selection rules out additional checks or data loading.
