# Drivers time display

Use **Drivers time display** in the Ordering.co Dashboard to review and manage configured Driver availability blocks on a calendar. A block is scheduling data: it can support staffing and dispatch decisions, but it does not confirm that a Driver is online, at a location, working, assigned to an order, or has completed a delivery.

> **Access and scheduling authority**
>
> Visibility depends on your Dashboard role and project configuration. The Dashboard separates page and navigation visibility from the delivery-block service's authorization. Seeing the calendar does not guarantee that a schedule change will be accepted.

## Choose a calendar scope and time range

1. In the Dashboard, select **Delivery → Drivers time display**.
2. Select **Driver groups** to review a group, or select **Drivers** to work with one Driver.
3. Choose the relevant group or Driver, then select a date range.

The group selector can help you narrow the calendar before viewing the Drivers in that group.

You can also choose an individual Driver from the calendar controls.

The date-range control accepts up to 31 days. Use the smallest range that answers the scheduling question. The Dashboard sends the selected range as UTC bounds and converts returned block times for the local calendar. Read the displayed time as a calendar representation of configured data, not as a location, work, dispatch, or delivery event.

> **Personal and operational data**
>
> The selected scope can expose Driver names, contact details, group membership, and scheduled times. Use synthetic or approved redacted data for training, and do not copy those values into screenshots or support notes.

## Read configured availability blocks

After you select a group, the timeline can show the Drivers in that group and their configured blocks. After you select one Driver, the calendar can focus on that Driver's blocks.

The calendar helps compare planned coverage with anticipated demand and planned breaks. It does not establish that a Driver accepted work, is physically available, has followed the schedule, or is close enough for a route or ETA decision. Confirm those operational facts through the applicable delivery workflow and current records.

## Add a block

Select a Driver and an open period in the calendar. Selecting a date or time slot opens the form for a new block.

![Open calendar time slot for a new availability block](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/6ed8b8fe0c4b6bc59be649da.jpg)

In the form, you can provide:

- An optional block name and description.
- A date, start time, and end time.
- Optional break start and end times.
- A one-time, weekly, or daily frequency. For recurring blocks, choose applicable weekdays and an end date.

[![Add New Block form with schedule fields](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/6bc0a1f4ed6ab49398b8f443.png)](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/dba7f4a1e5d328cf68b9f333.png) [![Add New Block form with date, time, and frequency controls](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/23ce8eae80afd18cee175b86.png)](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/f8797d3ff1554068a6ad5b7f.png)

Times are offered in 15-minute increments. New blocks must start in the future, and the interface limits a recurrence end date to two months after the selected start date. Review the Driver, date, times, break, and recurrence before selecting **Add**. The Dashboard converts those times to UTC before it sends the schedule request.

Selecting **Add** submits a saved scheduling change; it is not evidence that the Driver will work, become available, receive a dispatch, or complete an order. Do not retry merely because the calendar has not visibly refreshed.

## Edit or delete a block

![Calendar with a selected Driver and an existing availability block](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/11299df932e110bc32654122.jpg)

Select an existing block to open its details. You can review or change its name, description, date, times, breaks, and frequency.

[![Edit Block form with break and recurrence controls](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/6daafd0deaa08abf7261875b.png)](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/7c32bc94befd4bab2448e394.png) [![Edit Block form opened from a configured schedule](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/a24ada8331b1450ebed3866d.png)](https://docs.ordering.co/img/help-center-import/68b1b0c16018572e2814ec89.png)

For a recurring block, selecting **Edit** can open a propagation choice. Choose the smallest appropriate scope:

- **None** changes only the selected event.
- **All** applies to the recurring set.
- **From now** applies to future events.
- **From event** applies from the selected event onward.

> **Scheduling side effects**
>
> **Edit** and **Delete** are saved changes. A propagated update or deletion can affect multiple future availability blocks. Confirm the Driver, selected event, recurrence, and propagation scope before selecting **Accept**, **Edit**, or **Delete**.

The service validates that end time is after start time, breaks fall inside the block, and the recurrence end is after the block. Correct the displayed error before retrying. A successful configuration request changes schedule data; it does not prove a downstream availability check, status change, dispatch, notification, or physical delivery outcome.

## Use the calendar for planning, not proof of delivery

Configured blocks can help you:

- Plan shifts around forecast demand and past delivery patterns.
- Identify possible coverage gaps and scheduled breaks before making a dispatch decision.
- Maintain recurring or flexible schedule patterns that match agreed staffing arrangements.
- Use planned availability as one input when reviewing routes, workloads, and route conditions such as traffic.

These are planning uses. Calendar data alone cannot calculate a reliable ETA, optimize a route, show an accurate current location, prove that a Driver is doing work, or show that a customer received an order or notification.

## Troubleshooting

### Why can't I add a block in the past?

New blocks must start in the future. Choose a future date and an available time.

### Why can't I choose a longer calendar range or recurrence end?

The calendar range is limited to 31 days, and the interface limits a recurrence end to two months after its selected start date.

### Why was an edit rejected?

Check the start and end order, break boundaries, recurrence end, and your authorization. Page access does not guarantee permission to write schedule data.

### Does a displayed block mean that a Driver is working or ready for an order?

No. It is a configured availability block. Check the current delivery and Driver information before dispatching or treating it as an actual work, location, or delivery signal.
