Manage saved printers and automatic printing
Use Printer Settings to add or edit the printer configurations saved on this device and to understand the removal boundary. Do not remove a saved printer in the reviewed version. When at least one printer is saved, you can also enable Auto print after accepting order. Saving a configuration does not verify the connection, and automatic printing does not guarantee that a ticket reaches paper.
Before you start
- From the authenticated workspace, open Profile, then select Printer Settings.
- Treat this list as device-local. A printer saved here is not a shared or server-managed printer record.
- Do not use a saved row's remove control. The list can show a nickname instead of the underlying model, while removal targets the first saved entry with a matching model. The row selected on screen is therefore not a safe removal target in this reviewed version.
- Before enabling automatic printing, make sure the intended printer has the correct paper, its queue has no uncertain job, and no one is already printing the same ticket. An accepted order can open Ticket Preview and begin an output attempt to every saved printer.
- Do not use discovery, change hardware connections, or test physical output as part of this procedure. Printer models, connection details, and platform support are covered in the configuration guide.
Complete the task
- Wait for Printer Settings to show either the saved-printer list or No printers configured.
- Choose an add or edit change only:
- Select Add printer to open Printer Configure for a new entry.
- Select a saved printer or its edit control to open Printer Configure with that entry.
- Do not select the remove control, even when the visible nicknames or models look unique. If a saved entry must be removed, disable automatic printing if that switch can be changed safely, then ask the person responsible for printer configuration to inspect the saved entries. Provide the displayed nickname and the model shown when that entry is opened for editing; return without saving if you are collecting information only.
- If adding or editing, complete the supported model and connection details, then select Save Printer. Returning to Printer Settings reloads the device-local list.
- If at least one printer is listed, set Auto print after accepting order to the intended state. Preview the consequence first: when enabled, an order acceptance can open Ticket Preview and start one output attempt for each saved printer.
- Leave and reopen Printer Settings once. Verify the exact saved entries and the automatic-print setting before accepting another order.
Verify the result
The result is verified only when the reopened screen shows the intended list and setting. A saved row confirms a local configuration entry, not printer availability. The enabled switch confirms a local preference, not that the next ticket will print.
After accepting an order, treat Ticket Preview, a success message, a failure message, silence, and paper output as separate observations. Check the printer queue and paper before taking another print action. If paper may already have emerged, do not select Print ticket until you have ruled out a prior or pending output attempt.
Recover safely

Availability and platform differences
The automatic-print switch appears only when at least one local printer entry is loaded. The saved catalog includes supported Star Micronics and Epson model choices, but a listed model is not proof that the attached unit, interface, or driver is available. Bluetooth and LAN/Wi-Fi behavior depends on the device, permissions, network, and printer. Epson USB configuration is available on Android only in the reviewed source.
A remove control can appear beside every saved entry, but appearance is not a safe-availability signal. Because the list can display a nickname while removal matches the underlying model, saved-printer removal is unavailable as a public procedure for this reviewed version.
This guide covers local list management and the automatic-print preference. It does not guarantee identical iOS and Android behavior, printer discovery, connectivity, queue delivery, paper output, or exactly-once printing.
