Find and manage businesses
Use Businesses to find a business in your current account scope, open its catalog, or change whether that business is enabled. Changing the switch is a remote update: preview the customer effect and verify the returned state before continuing.
Before you start
- Sign in to the intended project. The app supports technical access levels with different business scope; a visible business is not proof that every account can update it.
- Select Businesses in the bottom navigation. Do this explicitly instead of relying on the first tab that opens after sign-in.
- Confirm the business name and address before opening it or changing its switch.
- Make sure the app is connected. Search and state changes require a current server response.
Find a business
- Select Businesses. The page heading is Stores.
- In Search, enter the business name or a term from its description.
- Wait for loading to finish. More results load as you move through the list.
- Match the business name and address. If the result is not present, clear Search and try a broader term.
The list is limited to the signed-in account's current scope. A business outside that scope does not become available because its name matches the search.
Open a business catalog
- Find the business and confirm its name and address.
- Select the business card, away from the enabled switch.
- Wait for the catalog view to finish loading.
- Confirm that the opened business matches the one you selected before reviewing categories or products.
Category, subcategory, and product availability are managed separately in Manage catalog availability.
Change whether a business is enabled
Disabling a business can remove it from customer ordering availability. Enabling it can make it eligible again, but schedules, menus, delivery coverage, project settings, and other availability rules can still keep it unavailable to customers. This switch is not an order-cancellation control; review existing orders separately.
- Find the intended business and verify its name and address.
- Check the switch at the right of the business card:
- On means the business is enabled.
- Off means the business is disabled.
- Preview the change. If you intend to disable the business, confirm that its customer ordering availability should stop. If you intend to enable it, confirm that its other availability settings are ready.
- Change the switch once. The app replaces it with a loading indicator while the request is pending.
- Wait for Enabled business or Disabled business and verify that the switch matches the intended state.
Do not repeat the change while it is loading. A visible switch or a tap by itself does not prove that the server accepted the update.
Verify the result
| Result | What it establishes | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Enabled business and the switch is on | The app received a non-error business result with enabled state | Reopen Businesses if freshness matters, then verify customer availability through the business's normal ordering checks. |
| Disabled business and the switch is off | The app received a non-error business result with disabled state | Reopen Businesses and confirm the returned state before relying on the change. |
| Error updating business | The update was not confirmed | Keep the current operational assumption, refresh the list once, and verify the returned state before retrying. |
| No confirmation or the previous switch remains | The request may still be pending, stale, rejected, or interrupted | Do not toggle again immediately. Reopen Businesses, find the business again, and verify its returned state. |
| Business is enabled but customers still cannot order | Another availability rule can be blocking the business | Review catalog availability, schedule, menu, delivery, and project settings through their owning workflows. |
Recover safely
| What you observe | What it means | Safe next action |
|---|---|---|
| Network Error | The list or update could not establish a current response | Restore connectivity, reopen Businesses, and verify the business state before taking another action. |
| Sorry, no results found | No business in the returned scope matches the current search | Clear Search, use a broader term, and confirm the intended project and account scope. |
| The catalog does not open | The business may not have a usable catalog target, or navigation may not have completed | Return to Businesses, confirm the same business and connection, then try once more. Escalate if it remains unavailable. |
| The switch state changes after reopening the list | The earlier screen was stale or another authorized update occurred | Use the newly returned state as the current source, confirm with the responsible operator, and avoid overwriting it blindly. |
| The update is rejected repeatedly | Access, business ownership, validation, an endpoint limit, or server processing can reject it | Preserve the visible error and escalate to the administrator responsible for the project. |
Availability and limits
- The app's signed-in business list supports technical access levels 0 and 2. These levels are implementation boundaries, not a complete commercial role or plan guarantee.
- Business-manager scope is limited to businesses associated with that account. An administrator can have broader scope.
- Search uses returned business names and descriptions. The list displays the business name, address, ZIP code, logo, and enabled state when those values are available.
- Opening a business continues to its catalog. Catalog item availability belongs to a separate workflow.
- More advanced business settings continue in the web Dashboard through the separate Continue business management in Dashboard guidance.
- Source and API evidence describe intended behavior at the documented versions. They do not prove the deployed app or API version, immediate customer visibility, or realtime synchronization.
