Admins

Create and review administrator accounts.

This narrated walkthrough demonstrates the same workflow documented in the written, step-by-step guide directly below.

The Admins section lists users with administrator access and provides controls for creating and reviewing their profiles.

Step-by-step feature guide

1. Accessing the Admin Dashboard

To begin, navigate to the sidebar on the left side of your screen. Click on the Settings dropdown and select Admins. You will be presented with a high-level overview, including the total number of administrator accounts currently active in your system.

2. Searching and Filtering Users

If you have a large team, the Search admins bar allows you to find specific team members by name or email instantly. You can also use the dropdown filter (defaulted to "All Admins") to categorize users and narrow down your view.

3. Reviewing Individual Admin Profiles

Clicking on any admin card opens a detailed view of that user’s profile. This section is divided into three key areas:

  • Overview: Displays the Admin ID, contact phone number, email address, and the exact date they joined the platform.
  • Order History: Allows you to track any specific orders associated with that admin’s actions.
  • Addresses: Shows any saved physical or billing addresses linked to the account.

From this view, you can also perform maintenance tasks like Refreshing the account data or Deactivating a user if they no longer require system access.

4. Creating New Administrator Accounts

When your team grows, adding a new user is straightforward. Click the blue + Create Admin button. A modal will appear where you can:

  • Upload a profile photo for easy identification.
  • Enter the user's First Name, Last Name, and Email.
  • Assign a Phone Number and set a secure password (minimum 8 characters). Once saved, the user is immediately granted access to the system.

5. Data Portability

If you need to perform an external security audit or keep a hard copy of your team structure, use the Export Admins button. This generates a file containing the records of all current administrators for your convenience.

Best practices & tips

  • The Principle of Least Privilege: Only create admin accounts for team members who absolutely require them. If a user only needs to see orders, ensure their role matches their actual daily tasks.
  • Audit Regularly: Use the Export Admins feature once a month to review who has access to your system. Deactivate accounts for former employees or contractors immediately.
  • Use Professional Emails: Encourage the use of company-hosted email addresses rather than personal ones to ensure that you maintain control over the account if an employee leaves.
  • Keep Profiles Updated: Maintain the profile fields required by your account policy, including a phone number when applicable.

Conclusion

Review administrator access regularly and remove or update accounts when responsibilities change.
