Campaigns

Create, manage, and review customer communications.

This narrated walkthrough demonstrates the same workflow documented in the written, step-by-step guide directly below.

The Ordering.co Campaigns dashboard is designed to provide high-level insights while offering deep-dive controls for every message you send. Here is a step-by-step guide to making the most of these features.

1. Performance tracking & analytics

Upon entering the dashboard, you are met with three core metrics that define the health of your campaigns:

  • Total Sent: The cumulative number of messages delivered to your audience.
  • Avg. Open Rate: The percentage of recipients who opened your email, a key indicator of your subject line’s effectiveness.
  • Avg. Click Rate: The percentage of users who engaged with your content by clicking a link or button.

Below these metrics, you can view your full campaign history. Each entry displays real-time performance data and its current status—whether it is "Sent," "Scheduled," or "Pending".

2. Organization with status filters

As your business grows, so will your list of campaigns. To maintain a clutter-free workspace, use the Status Filter. This allows you to toggle your view between:

  • Pending: Campaigns currently in draft or awaiting approval.
  • Scheduled: Future blasts set for a specific date and time.
  • Ended: Completed campaigns for review and analysis.

3. Optimizing email infrastructure

Under Email Settings, configure the SMTP host, encryption option, and sender address. Confirm deliverability requirements with your email provider.

4. Building a new campaign

When you click + New Campaign, you’ll follow a streamlined three-step process:

  • General Details: Name your campaign for internal tracking and select your communication channel (e.g., Email).
  • Audience Definition: Target your users with precision. You can filter by purchase history, registration dates, or target "Open Carts" to recover lost sales. Choose a Fixed audience for a one-time blast or a Dynamic audience that automatically adds new users as they meet your criteria.
  • Content Creation: Select a template (like a "Welcome Series" or "Flash Sale") and use the Device Preview to see exactly how your layout translates to mobile devices. You can also customize CTA button colors and links to match your brand identity.

Tips, tricks & best practices

  • Check the Mobile Preview: Use Device Preview to review layout and CTA placement on a narrow screen.
  • Consistent Branding: Keep your written brand voice consistent across every email template to build trust.
  • Review Open Carts: Use the Open Carts audience filter when you want to configure a reminder for that audience.
  • Review SMTP Settings: Periodically confirm the SMTP port, encryption, sender address, and provider requirements.

Conclusion

Use the Campaigns dashboard to configure an audience and template, then review delivery, open, and click metrics shown for the campaign.
