Step-by-step feature walkthrough​

1. Navigating to delivery setup​

To begin, access the Setup module from the primary sidebar and select Delivery. This dashboard acts as your command center, displaying all available third-party delivery integrations. Each service card provides a quick glance at the "Installed" status and a toggle to enable or disable the service instantly.

2. General configuration & security​

Clicking into a specific provider, such as DoorDash Drive, opens the configuration suite.

  • Developer Credentials: Under the General tab, you will input your Developer ID, Key ID, and Sign-in Secret. These are the secure handshakes that allow Ordering.co to communicate with the delivery provider.
  • Sandbox Mode: For new setups, use the available Sandbox fields to run test orders without requesting an actual courier. Review the result before going live.

3. Workflow automation​

Further down the General settings, you can define the logic of your delivery cycle:

  • Automatic Assignment: When enabled, the system automatically dispatches a driver once an order reaches a specific status (e.g., "Accepted by Business").
  • Auto-Reject & Expiration: To protect your customer experience, you can set a "Reject after Expiration" timer. If a driver isn't assigned within your chosen window (e.g., 1 hour and 30 seconds), the order is cancelled to prevent long delays.

4. Business & location mapping​

The Businesses tab is where you scale your operations. Instead of configuring each store individually, Ordering.co allows you to manage multiple locations from one screen. You can use the Select All feature to apply your delivery settings across your entire enterprise or manually check specific branches that should offer that specific delivery service.

5. Webhooks and live sync​

By clicking the Setting up on DoorDash button, the system generates a unique Webhook URL and Authorization Header. These strings are essential for real-time updates—they ensure that when a driver picks up a package, the status is instantly reflected in your Ordering.co dashboard.

Tips, tricks & best practices​

  • Review Expiration Timing: Set the Auto-Reject timer according to your preparation workflow and the provider's documented timing requirements.
  • Map Providers to Businesses: Use the Businesses tab to select the locations that should offer each configured provider.
  • Review Priority: Use the Priority dropdown to define the order in which the configured delivery services should be attempted.
