  • In-house Drivers: Used for your own staff or private fleet.
  • Delivery Companies: Used for integrating third-party providers like DoorDash Drive, Uber Direct, or Yango Delivery.

2. Step-by-step guide: creating a delivery group​

Step 1: Accessing the menu​

From your Ordering.co dashboard, navigate to the sidebar on the left. Click on Setup, then select Delivery, and finally click on Delivery Groups.

Step 2: Initiating a new group​

Click the + Create Delivery Group button in the top right corner. This will open the configuration form.

Step 3: Basic information​

  • Name: Give your group a clear, descriptive name (e.g., "Downtown In-house Team" or "Third-Party Express").
  • Delivery Manager: Assign a manager from the dropdown list. This person is responsible for overseeing the drivers within this specific group.
  • Type: Choose between In-house drivers or Delivery companies. This selection changes the options available in the next steps.
  • Enabled Toggle: Ensure this is switched ON to make the group active.

  • For In-house Groups: You will see a list of available drivers. Check the boxes next to the drivers you wish to include in this group.

Scroll down to the Select Businesses section. Here, you define which of your store locations will be serviced by this delivery group. Simply check the boxes next to the relevant stores.

Once all details are filled, click Create Delivery Group at the bottom of the page. Your group is now live and ready to handle orders.

You can easily toggle groups on or off directly from the main Delivery Groups dashboard using the green/red switch.
