# Built-in marketing tools

Your dashboard already has the tools to win the first order and the second one: offers and coupons, ad banners, cart recovery, and tracking pixels.

**Where:** Marketing

## Advanced offers: coupons and automatic discounts

Create offers in **Marketing › Advanced offers**. Each offer has three parts:

1. **General:** name, description, dates, priority, whether it can combine with other offers, an image, and where it applies: sites, stores, users, or loyalty levels.
2. **Rules:** what it discounts (subtotal, delivery fee, service fee, or a product), by a percentage or a fixed amount, applied as a **coupon** the customer types or an automatic **discount**.
3. **Conditions:** products or categories, minimum purchase, total uses and uses per customer, payment methods, delivery zones, order type, maximum discount, and timing rules.

> **Watch out**
>
> If your offer screen has a Sites tab, select your website and apps there: an offer without sites may not apply. Always test a coupon yourself before you announce it.

| Goal | Example offer |
| ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Win the first order | Coupon WELCOME: free delivery, once per customer, ends in 30 days |
| Fill a slow afternoon | Automatic 10% off between 3 and 5 p.m. on weekdays |
| Promote a new merchant | Automatic discount on one store only, launch week |
| Raise the basket | Free delivery above a minimum subtotal |
| Cap your spend | Limit total uses to a fixed number; the offer stops itself |

## Ad banners

Promote stores, products, or campaigns inside your own website and Customer App. In **Marketing › Ad banners**, choose where the banner shows, upload the image, and link it to a store or product. Merchants who want visibility can pay you for a banner slot.

## Cart recovery

Customers who add items and leave can get an automatic reminder. Create a rule in cart recovery with the delay since the cart was last opened, and choose email, SMS, or push notification. A short reminder an hour later recovers orders you would otherwise lose.

## Tracking pixels and analytics

To measure ads and visits, add Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or a Meta pixel in the third-party code fields of your website's advanced settings ([Chapter 11](https://docs.ordering.co/docs/discovery-ordering/launch-your-marketplace/part-3-build-the-marketplace/brand-your-website/)). Install them before launch so you capture data from the first day.

> **Message your customers**
>
> Email, WhatsApp, and SMS campaigns to your customer list are sent with outside tools such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo, or WhatsApp Business. Export your customers from the dashboard ([Chapter 38](https://docs.ordering.co/docs/discovery-ordering/launch-your-marketplace/part-8-running-it-well/routines-and-reports/#download-your-data-every-month)) and keep the list in your campaign tool.
