Automatic dispatch with advanced logistics

With a handful of orders you can assign drivers by hand. As you grow, advanced logistics offers each order to the right driver automatically, using rules you set.

Where: Delivery › Delivery groups › group › Advanced logistics

Manual assignment

Open an accepted order in the dashboard and choose a driver from the group. The driver gets a notification and accepts in the app. Good for the first weeks while you learn how your city moves.

Turn on automatic assignment

  1. Open the delivery group and turn on Advanced logistics. Open the auto-assign settings.
  2. Choose the trigger status. Usually Accepted by business, so dispatch starts as soon as the merchant confirms. Orders still pending are never dispatched.
  3. Choose the assignment method (table below). Start with one by one or send to all.
  4. Set the time a driver has to accept. When it runs out, the offer passes to the next driver. The customer's order is not cancelled.
  5. Set distance and capacity: the starting search radius, how fast it grows, the maximum radius, and how many orders a driver can carry at once.
  6. Save and test with a real phone running the Driver App.
MethodHow it offers the order
One by oneTo the closest available driver; if they do not accept in time, to the next closest.
Send to allTo several drivers at once, widening the radius step by step. The first to accept gets it.
Nearest availableLike one by one, with a tighter radius.
Batch-wiseTo a small batch of drivers at a time while the radius grows.
Round robinSpreads orders between drivers in turn, not only by distance.
CustomYour own combination of the settings above.

Group orders (batching)

Batching lets one driver carry several orders whose pickups and drop-offs are close together. Set the maximum orders per batch, the time window between them, and the maximum distance between pickups and between drop-offs. It cuts cost per delivery at busy times.

Forced assignment

Forced assignment can push orders to drivers outside your distance rules. It is useful for testing with one driver, but review it before you go live so drivers are not sent across the city.

Read the logistics history

Each order records every dispatch attempt: who was offered it, who let it expire, who accepted. When customers say "nobody came", the history shows exactly what happened.
