# Invoice merchants and settle each period

The invoice manager turns a period of orders into a clear statement for each merchant: what they sold, what you charge, and what is owed.

**Where:** Reports › Invoice manager

1. **Open the invoice manager** and choose a business invoice.
2. **Choose the type:** charge the business (your commission and fees) or pay out the business (their share of payments you collected).
3. **Pick the date range and the store.**
4. **Enter your fees:** a percentage, a fixed fee, tax, and any miscellaneous amount with a description.
5. **Filter if needed** by payment method or order type, for example to settle cash orders separately.
6. **Choose whether to include cancelled orders and orders with discounts.**
7. **Save and download** the invoice for your records and send it to the merchant.

> **Pick a rhythm and keep it**
>
> Settle on the same day every week or every two weeks. Merchants trust a marketplace that pays on time more than one with a lower commission.

## Recurring fees per merchant

Some marketplaces charge merchants a monthly membership on top of, or instead of, a commission. In each store's **Business fees** you can set fixed or percentage fees, limit them to order types or channels, and make them recur weekly or monthly.

> **Example: Northside Eats settles with Casa Verde Kitchen**
>
> Card orders are split automatically with Stripe Connect, so Northside's commission is already in its account. Every second Monday, the team creates one invoice for Casa Verde's **cash orders only** (filtered by payment method) to collect the commission on cash the restaurant received directly, and sends it with the payment due date.
