# Import menus instead of typing them

Most merchants already have a menu online. Importing it takes minutes instead of hours, and it is the fastest way to bring many merchants on board.

**Where:** Connect › Importers

| GloriaFood | The restaurant key and master key, created in the merchant's GloriaFood account as a menu integration. |

| Excel or CSV | A spreadsheet in the importer's format, or rows pasted into Spreadsheet Mode ([Chapter 14](https://docs.ordering.co/docs/discovery-ordering/launch-your-marketplace/part-3-build-the-marketplace/menus/)). |
| Square POS | The merchant connects Square and syncs the menu ([Chapter 23](https://docs.ordering.co/docs/discovery-ordering/launch-your-marketplace/part-4-merchants/merchant-readiness/)). |

## Import from Uber Eats, DoorDash, or GloriaFood

1. **Create the store first** ([Chapter 13](https://docs.ordering.co/docs/discovery-ordering/launch-your-marketplace/part-3-build-the-marketplace/first-store/)), with an empty menu.
2. **Go to Connect › Importers** and pick the store.
3. **Choose the source card** and follow the short video on the screen.
4. **Paste the link or the keys** and start the import.
5. **Review the menu** in the store's products: prices, options, and photos.

> **Watch out**
>
> - A success message does not guarantee every item came across. Always check the menu after importing.
> - Do not start the same import twice while it is running, or you may get duplicates.
> - Treat GloriaFood keys like passwords.
> - Imported prices are the merchant's delivery-app prices, which are often higher than in-store prices. Ask the merchant which prices they want on your marketplace.

> **People often ask**
>
> **"Can I import from Just Eat or another app not listed?"**
>
> Not directly today. Export the menu to a spreadsheet and use the spreadsheet route, or ask support whether a new importer is planned.

> **Real scenario: Moving from GloriaFood**
>
> A café owner in South Africa was taking orders through GloriaFood, which Oracle is retiring. On his onboarding call he created his store, opened Connect › Importers, generated the two keys in his GloriaFood dashboard, and his full menu arrived in a few minutes. He spent his time on photos instead of retyping products.
