# Key terms

A few words appear on almost every page of your dashboard. Knowing them now will make every other chapter faster.

| Term               | Meaning                                                                                                                                                                                                                 |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Project            | Your whole platform: one dashboard, one website, one set of apps. It has a unique project name.                                                                                                                         |
| Super admin        | The top-level account that controls everything in your project. That is you.                                                                                                                                            |
| Store (business)   | One merchant location that sells on your marketplace. A restaurant with three locations is three stores.                                                                                                                |
| Business owner     | A merchant's login. It only sees and manages the stores assigned to it.                                                                                                                                                 |
| Business category  | A marketplace-level group such as Food, Grocery, or Flowers that customers use to browse stores.                                                                                                                        |
| Product category   | A group inside one store's menu, such as Starters, Drinks, or Bread.                                                                                                                                                    |
| Product option     | A choice on a product: size, extras, cooking point, weight. Options can have their own prices.                                                                                                                          |
| Delivery zone      | The area a store delivers to, with its own delivery fee and minimum order. Customers outside every zone do not see the store for delivery.                                                                              |
| Order type         | How the customer gets the order: delivery, pickup, eat-in, curbside, and others.                                                                                                                                        |
| Driver             | A rider account that uses the Driver App to receive and deliver orders.                                                                                                                                                 |
| Delivery group     | A team of drivers linked to specific stores and payment methods. An order can only go to drivers in a group that serves its store.                                                                                      |
| Advanced logistics | Automatic dispatch: the system offers each order to the right driver using rules you set.                                                                                                                               |
| Delivery partner   | An outside delivery company such as Uber Direct or Shipday that can carry your orders.                                                                                                                                  |
| Payment gateway    | The service that charges cards online, such as Stripe or Mercado Pago. You open the account; your dashboard connects to it.                                                                                             |
| Split payment      | A card payment divided automatically between you and the merchant at the moment of the order.                                                                                                                           |
| Order status       | Where an order is in its journey: pending, accepted, picked up, delivered, and so on. [Appendix B](https://docs.ordering.co/docs/discovery-ordering/launch-your-marketplace/appendices/order-statuses/) lists them all. |
| Language Manager   | The tool that lets you edit the words your customers, merchants, and drivers see in the website and apps.                                                                                                               |
