Request an SMS verification with Twilio

The public API does not document POST /auth/sms/twilio/verify. Older Twilio Verify setups may have used cellphone and country_phone_code, with sms or call as a channel; project reCAPTCHA settings could also affect verification. Confirm the accepted values and settings for your Twilio project before relying on them.

An existing setup may depend on a project-enabled Twilio service, a Verify service ID, an account SID, and an authentication token. Check those settings with the integration owner before changing the flow. The historical route and the public user-verification operation have different contracts.

Never place Twilio credentials in documentation, request examples, or client-side code. Store them in protected project settings. See Twilio Verify API documentation for the provider's service documentation.
