Copy a business

The public API reference does not list a business duplication operation. An older document shows the malformed path POST /business/_business_id_/duplicate; do not use it as an API route.

If such a workflow is available, it may create independent records from an existing business. It may copy the business and related translations, gallery items, metafields, owners, payment-method credentials, categories, products, extras, options, and suboptions. The copied records would receive new identifiers and would not stay synchronized with the source business.

If offered, duplication may be restricted to administrators and business managers; a business manager may be limited to businesses they own.

If you have access to an authorized duplication workflow, check the source business, resulting ownership, payment configuration, catalog, media, and integrations before proceeding.
